Born in 1896, Francis Scott Fitzgerald left his mark in literature as one of the most famous American authors of the twentieth century to date. Although he achieved limited success during his lifetime, today he is widely regarded as an exceptional author, who earned his success by writing novels and short stories in the 1920s.
